Description
This is how I wanted that wedding to go.
"The point I'm trying to make is that I am the most unpleasant, rude, ignorant and all-round obnoxious arsehole that anyone could possibly have the misfortune to meet. I am dismissive of the virtuous, unaware of the beautiful and uncomprehending in the face of the happy, so if I didn't understand I was being asked to be John's husband, it was because I never expected anyone to ask. - I never expected to be anyone's forever.
And I certainly didn't expect it to be by the bravest and kindest and wisest human being I have ever had the food fortune of knowing. John I am a ridiculous man, redeemed only by the warmth and constancy of your love and friendship.
But as your apparent best friend, I can not possibly congratulate you on the choice of you life companion."
That's my idea of Sherlock's groom speech. - It may very well pop up in a future story I'm planning.
